Cork Geological Association’s next lecture on Wednesday October 26th at 7.30pm will be given by
Dr. John Reavy, University College Cork and is entitled “The Granites of Ireland”.
How many Irish granites are there? Are all Irish granites the same? They create magnificent scenery, but do they all have the same appearance, same age, same origin?
Can you tell, from just looking at a hand-specimen, where a particular granite has come from? Come along and find out the answers at the Ted Nevill Lab, Enterprise Centre, North Mall, UCC.
We hope to see you in-person, but if you cannot make it and wish to attend online, please register for the link by emailing: b.higgs@ucc.ie
