SUMMARY:Galway Geological Association – Burren Fieldtrip
DESCRIPTION:A GGA fieldtrip to the south-eastern Burren (Mullach Mór) takes place on Saturday 26th April\, 2025 (10am to about 4 pm). \nMeet at Gortlecka crossroads at 10 am (52.9967981N\, 9.0373889W; parking immediately to S of crossroads). Please note: car parking is limited so please take a lift if at all possible\, to reduce the number of cars & be kind to the environment. After car-pooling at the crossroads\, they intend travelling a short distance to the start point using a limited number of cars. \nIf you wish to participate\, please register no later than Tuesday\, 22nd April by emailing GGA (galwaygeology@gmail.com). Also\, please provide a mobile-phone contact number. Registration costs €20 / €10 (student) / €10 (member of GGA\, etc) (payable in advance or on the day). Fieldtrip leaders: Dr Eamon Doyle (Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark; geology) and Professor Michael O’Connell (PRU\, University of Galway; botany\, vegetation history).
