DESCRIPTION:The EuroGeoSurveys Geoheritage Group invites you to attend their upcoming online lecture entitled “Safeguarding Geoheritage: Best Practices from Protected Areas” on Wednesday 18th March between 15:00 and 16:30 IST (16:00 – 17:30 CET). \nGeoheritage is a non-renewable natural resource\, and its protection is essential for science\, education\, and sustainable development. This session will explore how protected areas\, including UNESCO Global Geoparks\, support geoconservation through practical management approaches and examples from Europe. \nThe lineup of speakers includes Dr Kirstin Lemon of GNSI who is also an IGI Board member.
