SUMMARY:IGA Day Excursion Wicklow with Pete Coxon
DESCRIPTION:Fellow Emeritus (TCD) Peter Coxon will lead an IGA Day Excursion on Saturday 10th September 2022. Pete Coxon’s Legendary Bus Tour of Wicklow – Wicklow in the Grip of an Ice Age\, we will set out from Dublin by bus on this spectacular tour with this recently retired\, world-renowned academic. We will visit many sites of Quaternary Geology interest in a beautiful route that includes Glencree\, WMNP\, the Glenealo Valley\, Hollywood Glen and Blessington Lakes. Spaces are limited to 20 maximum so booking is open now on a first come\, first served basis. \nParticipants are encouraged to join IGA as the annual fees are €5 for students\, €20 for adults and €30 for family groups. However\, non-members are most welcome for a sampler event before joining IGA so all are welcome. \nThe bus costs €35 per person for this memorable 9-hour tour of Wicklow. We also thank our colleagues at IQUA for the provision of the field guide “Wicklow in the Grip of an Ice Age (Coxon et al.).
