DESCRIPTION:IQUA / QRA Spring Field Meeting – 5th – 7th April 2024 \nIt is with great pleasure that we announce a joint Irish Quaternary Association (IQUA) / Quaternary Research Association (QRA) field meeting to Co. Louth led by Gill Plunkett\, Ryan Smazal\, Cathy Delaney and Jasper Knight. \nWe will meet in the Imperial Hotel in Dundalk at 7 pm on Friday (5th April)\, and keep our fingers crossed for clement weather as we tour the county on Saturday 6th April and Sunday 7th April. \nA preliminary schedule of sites can be found here. \nRegistration for full IQUA or QRA members is €60 (€30 student/unwaged). DESCRIPTION:Terra Soil is a collaborative research project between Geological Survey Ireland and Teagasc. Initiated in 2018\, the Terra Soil Project aims to derive agronomic and environmental indicators from Tellus soil sample data. \nThe final conference will be held on the Friday 12th April 2024 at the Ashtown Research Centre\, Dublin\, D15 DY05. \nThis conference will serve as a platform for the official release of new datasets\, maps\, reports and scientific papers produced during this period. \nMore information is available from the Geological Survey Ireland webpage Terra Soil Final Conference (gsi.ie) .
