UCC School of Engineering are hosting a seminar on Groundwater Flooding on the Wednesday 19th of March from 12pm-1pm.
It will be held as a hybrid event. In-person attendees will be at the Sustainable Futures Lab, Iris Ashley Cummins Building, University College Cork while online attendees can join via Teams.
Mohamad Soboh, researcher at UCC, and Anthony Beese, senior consulting geologist, will discuss groundwater flood risks in the city.
The event will document the history of groundwater issues and some recent flood modelling being undertaken as part of a GSI-funded project.
