The BGS next fieldtrip is to Blackhead and Portmuck to be held on Saturday 26th September 2026 between 10:30am and 4:30pm.
Ian Enlander will lead the fieldtrip to discover the geology of the area including the Lower Basalts at Blackhead in the morning, followed by newly-exposed raised beach deposits at Portmuck.
