As part of the IAEG Conference itinerary, details have now been announced for free guided tour of the Copper Coast Geopark on the afternoon (2:30pm) of Friday 22nd May.
The tour will be run by Geopark Geologist, Robbie Galvin, Typically the (1.5-2 hour) walking tour takes you through Ireland’s only outdoor geological timeline.
Your tour begins at the visitor centre at Bunmahon and takes you on a fascinating walk to the stunning geological site of Tra na Mbo. Your tour ends at the Geopark visitor centre where there is a café and small gift shop selling locally made crafts.
